Heathmont railway station is a commuter railway station on the Belgrave line, part of the Melbourne railway network. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Heathmont in Victoria, Australia. Heathmont is a ground level unstaffed station, featuring two side platforms. It opened on 1 May 1926, with the current station was provided in 1982.<ref name="vicsigheathmont">Template:Cite web</ref><ref name="trove">Template:Cite news</ref>

History

Heathmont station opened on 1 May 1926 and, like the suburb itself, was named after the extensive heath and shrub-like vegetation across the elevated land in the area.<ref name="vpheathmont">Template:Cite web</ref><ref name="heraldsun">Template:Cite web</ref>

In 1977, the station building on the city-bound platform (Platform 1) was provided.<ref name="newsrailoct77">Template:Cite magazine</ref> On 19 December 1982, a second platform (Platform 2) was provided at the station, as part of the duplication of the line between Ringwood and Bayswater.<ref name=vicsigheathmont/><ref name="vrhistory">Template:Cite web</ref>
