I, Claudia

The play and film, written by Thomson, is a coming-of-age drama depicting the difficult transition into adolescence of Claudia, a 12-year-old girl struggling with her parents' divorce. I, Claudia was published in 2001 by Playwrights Canada Press.

The 2004 film was directed by Chris Abraham, the same director as the original stage play.<ref name=onstad/> It was named to TIFF's year-end Canada's Top Ten list.<ref>"Best films tells diverse stories; Top Ten Canadian movies honoured New filmmakers being recognized".
