Life

Stinson was born in Toronto, taught elementary school there and studied at the University of Toronto.<ref name=thistledown>Template:Cite web</ref>

She lives in Rockwood, Ontario<ref name=star/> with her partner Peter Carver, a retired editor.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

Reception

A Season of Sorrow was said to be "delightfully written with very down-to-earth and realistically portrayed characters" by Tracy's Book Nook.<ref name="Tracys">Template:Cite web</ref> In 2015, Today's Parent magazine named Red is Best one of the 8 best Canadian books for babies and toddlers.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>
