The Liechtenstein Football Association (LFA; Template:Langx) is the governing body of football in Liechtenstein.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> It was established on 28 April 1934,<ref>Template:Cite news</ref> and became affiliated to UEFA on 22 May 1974.<ref>Template:Cite magazine</ref><ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> The association organizes the Liechtenstein national football team and the Liechtenstein Football Cup.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> Because Liechtenstein has fewer than 8 (only 7 not counting reserves) active teams, it is the only UEFA member without its own national league.<ref>Template:Cite news</ref><ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> This means the Liechtensteiner teams play in the Swiss Football League system.<ref>Template:Cite news</ref> The LFV is based in Schaan.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref>
