Mariápolis is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 4,091 (2020 est.) in an area of 187 km2.<ref>Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística</ref> The elevation is 410 m. The town was founded in 1943 by Jan Antonín Baťa as part of his expansion of the Bata shoe company, founded by his brother Tomáš.<ref>Template:Cite news</ref>
