McBaine, Missouri

The population was 17 at the 2020 census.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref> McBaine is located just north of Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area and within sight of The Big Tree.

History

McBaine was laid out in 1899, and named after Turner McBaine, the original owner of the site.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref> A post office called McBaine was established in 1894, and remained in operation until 1958.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

As of the census<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 17 people, 9 households, and 2 families living in the village. The population density was Template:Convert. There were 12 housing units at an average density of Template:Convert. The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 9 households, out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, none were married couples living together, 33.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 66.7% were non-families. 44.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.89 and the average family size was 2.67.
