Regent railway station is a commuter railway station on the Mernda line, which is part of the Melbourne railway network. It serves the northern suburb of Reservoir, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and opened on 8 October 1889, with the current station provided in 1970.<ref name="vicsigregent">Template:Cite web</ref>

Initially opened as Preston-Regent Street, the station was given its current name of Regent on 1 August 1905.<ref name="vicsigregent">Template:Cite web</ref>

History

Named after nearby Regent Street,<ref name="vpregent">Template:Cite web</ref> Regent station opened when the Inner Circle line was extended from North Fitzroy to Reservoir.<ref name=vicsigregent/>
