Rowena is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in southwestern Runnels County, Texas, United States,<ref name=gnis>Template:GNIS</ref> designed by Paul J. Baron in 1898.<ref>Template:Handbook of Texas</ref> According to the US Census, the population was estimated at 483 in 2000, an increase of 3% from the 446 recorded in the 1990 census. The United States Postal Service estimates the population at 714.Template:Citation needed The elevation is 1759 feet above sea level.<ref name=gnis/>
