Schriever is a census-designated place (CDP) in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 6,711 in 2020. It is part of the HoumaBayou CaneThibodaux metropolitan statistical area.

The community was named for railroad official John George Schriever (1844–1898) during the 1870s opening of the New Orleans, Opelousas and Great Western Railroad line to Houma.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 14.4 square miles (37.4 kmTemplate:Sup), of which 14.4 square miles (37.2 kmTemplate:Sup) is land and 0.1 square mile (0.2 kmTemplate:Sup) (0.42%) is water.

Amtrak's Sunset Limited train stops at the Schriever station, serving the nearby cities Houma and Thibodaux.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>
