The Syntrophobacterales are an order of the bacterial phylum Desulfobacterota.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> It is the only member of the class Syntrophobacteria.<ref>Template:Cite journal</ref> All genera are strictly anaerobic.<ref name=BergeyAlpha>Garrity, George M.; Brenner, Don J.; Krieg, Noel R.; Staley, James T.
