Thomas Egerton Hale

He was 22 years old, and an assistant surgeon in the 1st Battalion, 7th Regiment of Foot (later The Royal Fusiliers),<ref name="RFus">Template:Cite journal</ref> British Army at Sebastopol in the Crimean War when the following deeds took place for which he was awarded the VC.
Further information
He later served in the Indian Mutiny and achieved the rank of surgeon major. His Victoria Cross is displayed at the Army Medical Services Museum in Mytchett, Surrey.
He was elected to membership of the Bath and County Club in 1878.<ref>Bath and County Club Records, Guildhall, Bath, Somerset</ref>
