Goings-on in the week starting Sunday February 29, 2004 Columbia Encyclopedia article titles (Tuesday March 2): Timwi uploads lists of article titles from the Columbia encyclopedia to help contributors find holes in Wikipedia's coverage. Concerns about copyright violation ensue, and the lists are removed again. In response, Magnus Manske uploads List of encyclopedia topics (March 6). WikiProject Countries: Nation boxes are completed for all independent states! Image Box: A design competition continues on Meta to replace the grey thumbnail borders. Administrators: Tillwe (March 1), Arvindn, David Newton (March 4), and Texture (March 6) have been made admins. Congratulations! Arbitration committee Arbitration committee matters continuing this week: Matters of Wik, Irismeister and Plautus satire vs Raul654 Matter of Anthony DiPierro: remains pending. Plautus satire remains banned from Wikipedia and the WikiEN-L mailing list (Jimbo banned him from both on February 26 [1]), pending the arbitrators' decisions. Arbitration policies: Policies are created regarding conflicts of interest, and the form the "trial" and "judgement" will take. No new cases are requested, referred by Jimbo, accepted, rejected or completed this week.
