The purpose of the meeting is to socialize, collaborate Wikipedia projects among Seattle-area Wikipedia users, and to share in-person Wikipedia knowledge. The meetup is entirely volunteer run. Meetings are free to attend but you will need to buy your own food and beverages. If you plan to come, please consider putting your name on the list! Drop-ins are also welcome.

Monthly meetup, Tuesday Oct 28 6pm – 8pm (PDT)

Jimmy Wales with Mónica Guzmán, Thursday Oct 30 7:30pm (PDT)

Template:Hr This is not an endorsement by the Seattle Meetup but rather an FYI for those who may be interested. Jimmy Wales, the co-founder of Wikipedia, is on a book tour for his new book The Seven Rules of Trust: A Blueprint for Building Things That Last. It is about the lessons learned during the early days of Wikipedia and during the subsequent cultural development. It will occur at The The Wyncote NW Forum and is being arranged by Town Hall Seattle. One can find more at: {{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}.
