Early life and education

Hart was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada.<ref name="Smith 1983">Template:Cite book</ref> She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1976<ref name="Weatherford 1997">Template:Cite news</ref> with a bachelor's degree in theater arts.<ref name="Lieberman 2023">Template:Cite news</ref> After school she worked in England before returning to the United States and moving to New York City.<ref name="Smith 1983"/>

Career

Hart began appearing in pornographic films in the 1970s, becoming a major star by the 1980s.Template:R According to film scholar Chuck Kleinhans, she portrayed the "stylish 'native New YorkerTemplate:' " type.<ref name="Kleinhans 2006">Template:Cite book</ref> She is best known for her performances in Amanda by Night, Wanda Whips Wall Street, Roommates and A Scent of Heather.<ref name="Smith 1983"/>
