Template:Nihongo is a district located in Shiribeshi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan.<ref name="f892">{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref>

As of 2004, the district has an estimated population of 28,213 and a density of 47.93 persons per km2. The total area is 588.64 km2.

History

Yoichi developed as an agricultural area in the 1870s.<ref name="f892"/> Some of the first Japanese apple tree orchards were created here, with assistance from US American farmers (there are no native apple species in Japan).<ref name="f892"/>
