Preston-le-Skerne<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> is a hamlet in the civil parish of Mordon, County Durham, England. It is situated a short distance to the east of Newton Aycliffe.
History
Preston-le-Skerne was formerly a township in the parish of Aycliffe.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> In 1866, Preston le Skerne became a separate civil parish.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> On 1 April 1983 the parish was abolished and merged with Mordon.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref> In 1971, the parish had a population of 81.<ref>{{#invoke:citation/CS1|citation |CitationClass=web }}</ref>
