Riviera

Template:Lang (Template:IPA) is an Italian word which means Template:Gloss,<ref name="Chambers">Template:Cite encyclopedia</ref><ref name="Kolb">Template:Cite book</ref> ultimately derived from Latin Template:Lang, through Ligurian Template:Lang.<ref>Template:Cite encyclopedia</ref> It came to be applied as a proper name to the coast of Liguria (the Genoa region in northwestern Italy) in the form Template:Lang, then shortened in English.
