About the project
Goals
- Standardize the structure and content of all college and university articles
- Ensure colleges' and universities' articles comply with Wikipedia's five pillars
- Improve the coverage of higher education, propelling articles to featured status
- Serve as the central hub for all discussions and information related to higher education coverage
- Add missing and requested higher education articles
Task forces and sub-projects
Task forces are meant to provide centralized information and a discussion area for topics that have a sufficiently large scope, but that would not benefit from having a separate WikiProject with all of the additional work that would involve. This WikiProject formerly had the Student Affairs task force, but it is now inactive.
Geographic areas, athletic conferences, or individual institutions with multiple pages and the interest of several active Wikipedians may become the subject of a sub-project. Propose the new project on the WikiProject Higher education talk page or at the WikiProject Council to make sure there is enough interest before starting a new project. See the related projects section for examples.
